Meet the team

Amy Petkovich

I grew up in Millerton, NY with my parents and sister and graduated from Webutuck High School in 1995. After graduation, I attended Dutchess Community College. Not really knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up, I changed my major five times in the course of several years. I started off thinking I wanted to be a Math teacher since it was my favorite class in high school. I then thought maybe an art teacher, my second favorite class. After realizing I couldn’t stand in front of a crowd I went for nursing and then criminal justice until I finally took an accounting class and fell in love. I received my Associates Degree in Business and Accounting.

After graduating, I worked in the accounting field at Matco Norca in Brewster, NY until I married and started a family. I have three wonderful daughters that keep me very busy. I decided to be a stay at home mom for many years so I could be a part of their everyday life. In my free time, I love to spend time with my kids, going to cheer, dance practices and competitions, taking them skiing, and teaching them how to drive. I probably have more gray hair than I should at my age but it is all worth it!

I then worked part time until moving to Canaan, CT with my daughters. In November 2017, I got a job that I absolutely loved at Riccardelli Accounting. Throughout my years there, I’ve enjoyed working with the employees and interacting with our many clients. I was quite honored to become a partner of LaMountain, Riccardelli & Petkovich Accounting Inc. I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
