When Karen initially reached out to Molly with the idea of creating a partnership together, Molly was intrigued by the proposal and agreed to meet and discuss the possibilities. Little did they know that this "quick meeting" would turn into a three-hour conversation, during which they realized they had an instant connection. There was a common interest in meeting due to being relatives through their husband's families, but also discovered a shared love of accounting and desire to provide their services to the community.

We purchased our building at 692 Bear Swamp Road in December of 2022 and began LaMountain & Riccardelli Accounting in January 2023. Recognizing the need for additional staff, we enlisted the help of a designer to revamp our space with the aim of creating offices and work areas capable of accommodating ten more team members, including receptionists, bookkeepers, and tax preparers.

In 2024, we officially merged LaMountain & Riccardelli Accounting in Peru, NY with Riccardelli Accounting located in Canaan, CT. Riccardelli Accounting has been a proud fixture in the community since 1998. Through the use of cloud-based technology, we are able to serve both practices while also maintaining a physical presence for each office. Our convenient location in Peru, NY nears two colleges which provides more access to skilled staff to assist both locations. This merger couldn’t be possible without our new partner, Amy Petkovich. Amy is the Operations Manager and head bookkeeper at the Canaan, CT office.

We are thrilled to offer our expertise and experience to both locations and pride ourselves on our availability and dedication to our clients needs.
